Tom Auvil

Tom Auvil joined the Commission in 2000 as a research horticulturist. Tom oversees plant material evaluation – rootstocks and scions, perennial cropping systems – especially systems for production efficiencies, and orchard establishment programs. He is a lifelong resident of North Central Washington and received his B.S degree in Horticulture from Washington State University. Tom has been a grower since 1973, and before joining the Commission was both a production consultant and quality control manager 1978 to 1998. Tom was a member of the Orondo School Board for 12 years and serves on the Treetop, Inc. board of directors.
