Teal Potter’s expertise is soil microbial ecology and nutrient cycling. Her recent research examines how agricultural practices influence soil microbial communities and the consequences for agricultural crops and soil health. She’s dedicated to synthesizing the best available research to support collaborative decision making in agronomy. In addition to her technical research experience, Teal’s training and current interests include social aspects of science that are critical for conducting and communicating science. She has served on academic and non-profit DEI committees and enjoys learning about team dynamics and strategies. Teal received her PhD in Ecology from the University of Colorado and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Wisconsin and Washington State University. Teal joined CSANR in 2023.
