About Me

I was born in raised in Rochester, New York. My interest in pharmacy was sparked when I was young, as my grandfather was a pharmacist and owned his own independent pharmacies. It seemed as though he knew everyone when we would go to a store and had a strong bond with all of these people. I thought it was the best and wanted to follow in his footsteps, and because of this I went to the same school as him. During pharmacy school, I was introduced to the clinical pharmacist role and I knew this was the path I was meant to take. I ended up completing a combined PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice/PGY-2 Ambulatory Care (family medicine focus) pharmacy residency with a longitudinal two-year faculty development fellowship with UPMC St. Margaret in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During these two years, I became passionate about chronic disease state management, interprofessional education, and my passion for education was sparked. Since then, I have maintained similar interests with more of a focus on diabetes education and underserved populations. My area of expertise is ambulatory care and pharmacotherapy.

I am a Yakima-based faculty, responsible for Pharmacy Calculations, Health Care Systems, Pharmacotherapy V, Drug Discovery and Development, IPPE V and a Family Medicine and Pharmacy Elective.

In addition to teaching, I have developed a clinic practice site at the Union Gospel Mission Medical Clinic, focused on chronic disease state management (primarily diabetes) and underserved populations.

In my spare time I like to…

My favorite hobbies are spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy staying active, playing golf, and listening to music.
