Debbie Williams was born and raised in Walla Walla Washington.  She attended Washington State University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Animal Sciences (1989).  Her Master’s focus was livestock nutrition.

In 2003, Debbie finally started her dream job as the WSU Extension Director for Walla Walla County.  As a tenured Faculty and Associate Professor, she oversees the 4-H, Food $ense, and Master Gardener Programs.  She answers questions on a variety of topics such as goats, cows, horses, pastures, food safety, lawns, and trees including the identification of weeds, insects, and spiders. She supervises eleven staff members.  The Extension office serves the community to make the local quality of life better.

In her free time, she gardens and raises her own beef, chicken, and eggs. She enjoys serving Rotary and her church. Her extreme sport is Mounted Orienteering.
