About Me
My employment history includes lead administrative support positions in the areas of mining, fertilizer sales, public transportation, and higher education. My employment with WSU Spokane began when my family relocated from North Pend Oreille County to Stevens County, making a home in Nine Mile Falls, Washington. At that time, I was hired as a temporary office assistant in the Chancellor’s office. After a few months, I was promoted to a permanent employee. As an administrative assistant, I provided support to the chancellor, director of Spokane and regional development, vice chancellor of research and vice chancellor of finance. To gain knowledge of the academic side of WSU, I accepted the position of secretary supervisor/assistant to the chair of pharmacotherapy in the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences where I stayed for several years. After approximately three years away, I have returned to the position of secretary supervisor/assistant to the chair of pharmaceutical sciences.
In my spare time I like to…
Outside of work, I enjoy the outdoors. My favorite activities include, walking, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, swimming, and golf.
Why WSU?
I am from a small town in northeast Oregon, located on the border near Walla Walla, Washington. In this rural area, you’re an Oregon Duck, Beaver, Washington Husky or WSU Cougar fan. Out of seven children, I am the only Cougar fan! This happened when I was in eighth grade, following my attendance at a summer basketball camp called Cougar Cage Camp, hosted by Coach George Raveling.
