Dr. Charlie Coslor has worked at WSU Mount Vernon NWREC off-and-on for many years.  He received his B.S. in Biology from WSU, and his and M.S. in Entomology at WSU NWREC. He was awarded his Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 2017. He moved back to Skagit County the same year and began working again for WSU, first in the NWREC Entomology lab as a postdoc, then at WSU Skagit County Extension as the Entomology Coordinator. He operates the Skagit County Horticultural Pest Control Board, monitoring for insect pests that threaten the region. Charlie also works in Louis Nottingham’s Entomology lab. He has recently begun work as a Weed Scientist for Skagit County. He is eager to use his skill set to help growers manage weeds with integrated control strategies.
