Caitlin Blethen

Caitlin has helped coordinate and support youth and school gardening programs in Oregon and Washington for the last 15 years. She has a BA degree in Ecological Agriculture and Community Development from the Evergreen State College and spent her summers working on a small market garden on an outer island in the San Juans. For the past ten years, she was the Program Director for the Youth Grow program at the non-profit Growing Gardens in Portland Oregon. There she helped develop school gardens, supported farm to cafeteria efforts, and developed professional training for teachers and garden educators.  In July 2015,  she and her family returned to the islands. She is excited to support the WSU San Juan County Master Gardener program. ​
