Gates’ is a member of the WSU geriatrics research team and focuses on medication management in geriatrics.

Clinical Work

Consultant pharmacist for the PVNA, which is a unique pharmacist practice in homecare. Part of this service involves visiting people in their homes to help with any problems related to medications and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team at the PVNA.

Additional Information

He was awarded the Young Pharmacist of the Year from the Washington State Pharmacy Association in 2003. Gates served on the board of the Spokane Pharmacy Association from 2000-2004, including serving as president in 2003. He is a past president of the Washington State Chapter of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists. He was a contributing editor for the journal Advances in Pharmacy from 2002-2005.
