Master of Applied Economics Program
I am the Director of the Master of Applied Economics (MAE) Program. The MAE program is STEM certified and aims to prepare students for industry focused careers through rigorous coursework in applied empirical methods including data processing, advanced econometrics, and machine learning. The program can be completed in less than one calendar year. Most students start in the pre-Fall term that begins around August 1st and graduate at the end of the following spring semester. In addition to being an excellent complement to an undergraduate economics degree, the MAE program is ideal for students coming from other disciplines including finance, engineering, physics, political science, and history that want to develop a robust set of quantitative skills that are in high demand. Students with less preparation in math and statistics may want to consider taking an additional semester to complete the program. It is possible to start the program in the Spring semester. Please visit the course webpage for additional information and contact me if you have any questions. We do not provide assistantships for MAE students.
